For the past few months, Innov8 I.T. has been quietly helping the global fight against Corona Virus (COVID-19) utilizing the very thing that is our true passion, Technology!

We do this by running the [email protected] agent on our workstations. This allows our idle CPU and GPU usage to be used as part of a virtual global supercomputer that helps the [email protected] ‘s team of scientists based in Washington’s University in St Louis, USA. to perform simulations of COVID-19 viral proteins to understand how they work and how they can design therapeutics to stop them. These proteins are how COVID-19 suppresses the human immune system and reproduces itself.

It’s not just COVID-19 that the [email protected] team is fighting, they are also looking at the viral proteins for Dengue Fever, Chagas Disease (African Trypanosomiasis), Zika Virus, Hepatitis C, Kidney Cancer & the Ebola Virus. This tool also allows them to study Breast Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease & Parkinson’s Disease.
